Research: an insight as a fresh Graduate.

I recently graduated with my B.Sc. honors degree in Agriculture and I had always dreamt of being a scientist right from my childhood. But the gravity of my interest progressed into my passion studying biology in my high school and Plant science during my graduation. Exploring various areas of scientific studies during my graduation doing practical and being curious about amusing topics from my favorite subject Plant Science has always kept me inspired and motivated as basic requirement at personal level for becoming a scientist is the Curiosity.  I am now making an image what research is really like, what do scientist do and what is the depth of this eminent career. 

For developing my Research skills I recently joined an online internship at Biolim Centre for Science and Technology which have the following objectives and is a great opportunity to upscale my knowledge and skills required to enter research as my profession.

  • To provide scope on understanding, choosing and developing research problems in life science sector
  • To provide exposure in research literature mining, analysis and sorting
  • To provide opportunity to develop research designs of chosen research problem
  • To explore more knowledge on research tools and elements
  • To improve research writing and presenting skills
  • To gain brief exposure on publishing, patenting and tech transfer skills
Learning about the way of Research and Scientists do I just summarized what is Research and its importance.

Research is the process which gathers information and investigates various phenomena ultimately allowing us to test theories and hypothesis and finally make some predictions or get answers to the cause and effect of the studied phenomena. It all begins with a question and curiosity, whether be it basic or applied research and in the process creating new knowledge and understanding. 

In general it is the force behind everything we do and have in our day to day life. In other words, we can describe research as processing question or issue with a collaborative effort to provide answers or solution which will be acquired as a knowledge and can be further applied in other useful ways. Hence it is important as it plays a significant role in following ways:

  1. ·       Gathering information,
  2. ·       Improving quality of life,
  3. ·       Understanding our historical knowledge,
  4. ·       Attaining personal and professional development,
  5. ·       Advancement of society and
  6. ·       Developing our quest for reasoning.

Learning German

Guten tag! 😀 Hello! I started learning German with my M.Sc. Biotechnology course. At Amity University we have the option to learn one Foreign language with our course. So, I chose to learn German. I have this wish to study one day in Germany so I decided to learn the language and add weightage to my resume. While learning the language I am so delighted with the teaching method of my german teacher I found learning the new language so interesting. Thanks to my teacher, who made learning the language so fun. It's generally said that learning German is one of the toughest, but I find it so amazing and a stress reliever. I practice daily and learn with an app called Duolingo. Hope I can improve my German language skill and get a certificate soon for my accomplishment. Here is a small Intro of mine in German.  Hallo.
